This little project was done as a gift for my fiance on her birthday. I had used Macromedia Fireworks for creating the calligraphy. It was then imported into Adobe Photoshop to create the background for the image.

The calligraphy is done using the two Arabic words for peace (Al Salaam) and God (Allah). The characters were then formed into a rosebud, while trying to maintain as much of the integrity of the Arabic as possible, although this is not required within this form of Arabic calligraphy.

Created for a client as an contemporary art piece based on a criteria of using a balance of space using simple shapes with complex patterns to produce a feeling of order and balance in chaos.

A friend of mine asked me to create a simple graphic for a storefront entry page where he will be selling photographs of people playing paintball at tournaments, as well as at his field. I used Macromedia Fireworks for the main image, after cleaning up the photographs in Adobe Photoshop. The top layer of text was created in Macromedia Flash, with a small animation of paintball splats hitting the text and camera up the page loading.
